Lee Barken
Lee Barken, CPA, LEED-AP is the Chief Community Officer at CollectiveSun®, LLC. He has broad industry experience in renewable energy project finance, environmental commodities consulting and public policy analysis.
He is dedicated to helping nonprofits and mission driven organizations develop economically viable energy projects. Lee writes and speaks on the topics of renewable energy project finance, social entrepreneurship, and community financing.
Lee plays an active role on the board of directors of Cleantech San Diego and the Impact Investment committee at San Diego Grantmakers. Lee received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from San Diego State University where he graduated with honors and academic distinction.
Vivienne Esrig
Vivienne is currently a pro-bono CFO/COO/general helper for several non profits such as the Order of the Good Death and Point of Pride, as well as the Vice President of Operations for Mixte Communications, a social justice public relations firm. Prior to that she was the Deputy Director of the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park.
Vivienne comes with a lifetime of experience in non profits managing and administrating one thing or another including 20 plus years at Harvard Medical School. She is the Treasurer of the Board of Alliance San Diego, MOXIE Theater Company, the University Height Library branch and two Homeowner Associations. She has served on countless other boards both nationally and regionally including the National Organization for Women (Boston) and the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom.
She has a BA in Finance and an MBA in non profit management and is a lifelong Bostonian. When she is not analyzing financial statements, proposing new opportunities for collaboration or putting her two cents to whomever will listen, she takes care of a sick spouse and adores her toy poodle, Kona.
Stewart Halpern
Stewart Halpern is a retired financial executive who now devotes his time to Board of Director/Advisor activities. In addition to a nearly 20-year career on Wall Street, first as an investment banker and then as a sell-side equity research analyst, he served as Chief Financial Officer for several public and private companies.
Mr. Halpern currently serves on the Board of Directors of five nonprofits, also serves on the Audit Committee for the City of San Diego and recently termed off of the Audit Committee of the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG).
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Yale College and a Master of Public and Private Management degree from Yale School of Management.
